World Internships is comprised of a tight-knit team of enthusiastic and well-traveled individuals who are passionate about living and working abroad. Our U.S. office is based in Northampton, MA where we work with on-site partners around the world in twenty countries to coordinate customized internship programs for people ages 18-30. We believe culture and cultural immersion are key components of professional development.
Our USA Staff
A native of Denver, Colorado, Kailee Moszynski is an alumni of Colorado State University where she studied Business Administration, Marketing and Spanish. In her many years in international education, Kailee has been an integral part of all stages of internship placement: from advising to admissions, enrollment to program delivery.
Kailee believes the best way to experience a new culture is to live like a local as she did during her own internship abroad experience in college. Kailee’s travels have taken her throughout five continents as a traveler, student, and intern. When not venturing far afield, she is likely deep into a crossword puzzle; researching Mexican recipes; entertaining her cat Greg; or porch-sitting with friends.
Born in Lima, Peru. Richard holds a B.A. in History from Vassar College and an MBA from Oxford University. Following his undergraduate studies, Richard enjoyed a brief career as a professional soccer player in Hong Kong, after which he began to pursue his interest in grassroots development work and education abroad.
Richard founded the intern and volunteer abroad social enterprise ProWorld in 2000. After establishing more than 10 bases in 8 countries, Richard sold ProWorld in 2010 to focus on new challenges. In 2012, Richard founded World Internships with a vision of broadening the existing internship opportunities available to students to include more global locations as well as professional social enterprise and NGO placements.
As World Internships Program Coordinator, Emily acts as the personal advocate and guide in helping interns find their place abroad. Emily is a Bowdoin ‘11 graduate receiving a B.A. in Environmental Studies and Visual Arts. She has spent quite a bit of time overseas and has (so far) traveled to 8 of the World Internship locations, with extended time in Varanasi, India teaching photography to teenagers; Tasmania, Australia studying abroad; Hefei, China teaching English; and the South Island of New Zealand backpacking during her honeymoon. Emily comes to us after spending three years in California where she devoted a lot of time photographing and backpacking the gorgeous Sierras. Aside from travel and photography Emily loves knitting, yoga, and all things Harry Potter.
As the WI Program Advisor, Hannah works directly with all students and young professionals interested in our internships abroad. She answers any questions they may have, and helps them take the first steps toward their World Internships experience. Hannah spent several months living in Copenhagen, Denmark, where she studied European History and Literature. She has traveled to 9 countries (and counting!), and is eager to add more to her repertoire. Hannah graduated from Smith College with a B.A. in English Language and Literature. Outside of her role with World Internships, Hannah writes poetry, explores the Western Mass outdoors, and plans her next international adventure!
As the World Internships Marketing Coordinator, Leah comes to WI with a bachelor’s degree in Communication and a minor in Women’s Studies. She has been fortunate enough to travel around the world, including spending part of her childhood in the Caribbean and many weeks volunteering in South America. Like anyone who travels, Leah has a list of countries on her “to go” list and is hoping to hit them all, adding new ones along the way.
Outside of her role with WI, Leah loves to drink coffee, spend time outside, support the Red Sox and be among friends. She is grateful to work within the world of travel because she knows the importance of experiencing new places and meeting new people.
